WEEK 25

This week was legit! I finished my change with Elder Rogerson and now I'm in a place called Gómez Carreño it's pretty sick haha! It's a rich place for Chile. My new apartment is also sweet it's in a huge apartment complex and I'm on the 9th floor. I have a sick view of Viña every day! The only thing that sucks is that the sun totally just blasts me during studies in the morning and I'm just sweating and studying it's pretty awesome.  My new comp is from Brazil he is pretty sick!! His name is Elder Silva he only has one more change left and then he is going home. In the lessons he is just super calm and teaches like a champ its pretty cool!  He was at BYU Provo for 9 months studying English so that is pretty sweet.  He is always trying to improve his English so he likes to practice on me! I kinda tease him and only speak Spanish sometimes but he is a great teacher to me. I really love him and how calm he is.  I know that I have a lot to learn from him haha! So many thanks for the prayers for my new comp cuz I really did score wahoo!   Remember my sweet comp Elder Miller in the MTC? Well he has mastered Spanish already its nutz, so he is a new district leader and just happens to be mine! It's so sweet and we had changes for one day or splits and I was with Elder Miller which was the best thing ever. We went to take the bus to his sector and while we were waiting we just starting laughing cuz it was so crazy to think that we were together again! We were doing a contact and it was the worst but funniest thing of my life.  We go up to this lady and she started out being rude and told us to go away.  I hurried and said we have a card to give you.  She came to grab the card from me when this pregnant looking sickly dog came around the corner of her house.  Elder Miller and I did all we could to not laugh.  Neither of us had ever seen a dog in this condition before! We kindly asked her what was wrong with her dog to try and break the ice but she just yelled at us esta enfermo (its sick)! I just couldnt believe what was happening, she was so funny mostly because she was so mad.  We did all we could to not burst out laughing. Maybe you had to be there but we laughed for a good half hour after we left! Anyways I'm trying to enjoy time here and work hard.  Yesterday we had a referral of a young kid.  We decided to fast for him the night before we were to meet.  Once we met him the next day I knew he was gold.  After our lesson we felt inspired to invite him to baptism.  I truly believe there are people who are being prepared by the Lord to be baptized.  We just have to search them out and when you find them its awesome!  The mission can be hard.  Walking all day in hot weather sucks and there is no fun in that.  However bringing people to Christ is a big blessing for me and I will always be happy for that opportunity.  I know if I keep working it will only get better!  ALSO my freaking sweet sisters Emily and Allie had their birthdays last week so shout out to them! I love you both SO much.  Every day I say how grateful I am for my family in my prayers, you guys are a real blessing in my life and I love ya like no other!  Have a good week and thanks to everyone for the prayers!! This Week From Elder Colby Eyre in Santiago Chile:

Hey guys this week has been pretty good. Sadly Cynthia didn't come to church nor have we had another lesson with her.  However, another fam that we have been working with came to church for the second time and they have baptism dates set for the 20th of February. I am hoping we can make that happen they are a super awesome family.  The  mom and grandma are members but the two kids aren't members and they are investigating the church right now.  We also had several other lessons we taught this week. I continue every week to learn so much from my companion.   He is super in tune with the spirit especially during our lessons which is great. 

This week my comp and I bought a watermelon it was huge and cost like less than three bucks.  The bag I'm holding in my hands is only half so I guess I'll be eating watermelon for days!

We also had the opportunity to do a tour of the temple with a few less active members and an investigator. It was so awsome and spiritual. We only took them as far as the front desk inside the temple but it was super spiritual and I know they felt the spirit.
